The technology of petTracer works anywhere in the world. However, petTracer is currently only sold within the UK, the European Union and Switzerland. Please email us if you would like to purchase petTracer but live somewhere else.

No GPS device or collar can do this for certain. petTracer gives you the highest possible chance of finding your cat when you need to. With petTracer you will get to know your cat’s territory and favourite places. These are the locations where you would begin looking for your pet. Additionally, with our radio search technology you can even find your cat in places without GPS signal.

Thanks to our patented SafeTrace technology, petTracer provides up to 10 times more GPS positions per battery charge than most conventional GPS trackers. Depending on the mode you choose and your cat's activity levels, the collar can last up to 30 days. Here's an overview of the different modes:

FAST: Updates every 10 minutes when active and every 60 minutes when inactive.
STANDARD: Updates every 30 minutes when active and every 3 hours when inactive.
SLOW: Updates every 4 hours when active and every 24 hours when inactive.

LIVE: Updates every 15 seconds, regardless of activity.

A Wi-Fi connection is necessary for the GPS coordinates of your cat to be forwarded from the HomeStation to the petTracer server.

The HomeStation is an essential part of the petTracer system, included in the Starter Set. It serves two purposes: it acts as a charging dock for the collar and functions as a radio signal receiver.

The HomeStation receives your cat’s GPS coordinates from the collar and sends them to petTracer's servers, allowing you to track your cat’s location on the map.

The petTracer collar has a range of around 0.5 miles, depending on your location. Most cats stay within this range, and those that don’t return home are often not lost but trapped nearby.

If your cat goes out of range, the collar will continue to collect GPS positions, which will update on the map once your cat re-enters the coverage area. In case of an emergency, the HomeStation can be made mobile.

Simply configure your HomeStation with your mobile phone's hotspot and connect it to a power bank. This allows you to start your search from the last known position or by walking along the border of your cat’s natural territory.

You don’t need a computer for everyday tracking as this can be done via the petTracer app or any browser. However, you need a computer for the initial setup which will connect the petTracer HomeStation to your Wi-Fi.
